HELP, I Want One!

Includes Original Martin Wood Hard Case
This is nice vintage Martin Committee II tenor saxophone, serial number 129856. The Committee tenors have a rich and very intense sound character to the way they play. Projection and clarity is exceptional on these tenors. The Committee II features the Martin beveled tone holes. It also shows off the Lion and Crown engraving in the bell area.

The body on the Martin is in great shape from top to bottom. It was re-lacquered at some point in its life. The work was done very well. Its current finish has a nice dark honey tint which is further complemented by the crisp Martin engraving. The body tube, bow and bell are all in very good condition. The sax does have all of the original key work, posts and key guards intact and in good condition. There is signs of some minor past dent work on the saxophone but nothing serious. The bow cap is in perfect condition and was never pushed in. This saxophone does have the original neck. The neck was pulled down in the past but is currently being brought back up to its true position in the Saxquest shop.

It has been some time since the saxophone was serviced and it is sitting on some older pads. As such it is currently awaiting a complete overhaul in the Saxquest shop. The Saxquest professional overhaul will include all new premium Valentino pads, resonators, corks, felts and a precise key regulation. Once the work is complete the saxophone will in perfect playing condition. The Saxquest overhaul will also take care of removing the smaller dings located around the bow area.

This saxophone ships in perfect playing condition with the original Martin wood hard case.
