HELP, I Want One!

Freshly Overhauled
This is a newly overhauled King Zephyr Alto Saxophone made by the H.N. White Co. Cleveland Ohio, Serial Number 411193. These horns are incredibly free-blowing and have great colorful tonal variety. For those looking for a great playing horn at a bargain price, this is a great option.

These horns, often thought of as the poor man's super 20, have a ton of projection and a rich and clear tone. When played on the softer side this horn elicits a sweet and mellow tone but can also be pushed into a punchy and edgier sound. This horn in particular is incredibly free-blowing with a more spread than focused sound. It would be well suited to rock and R&B musical situations as well as straight- ahead jazz.

There are no obvious signs of previous major damages or dent work. Aside from typical lacquer wear this horn looks great for its age. The only noticeable sign of past trauma is that the octave key was broken at one time and braised back together. The bow, body tube, bell cap, and bell flare all look great and the neck has never been pulled down.

This horn was recently overhauled in our shop by Derick Tramel. Our professional overhaul includes all new leather pads with plastic resonators as well as brand new corks and felts. This horn is in perfect playing shape and would be a great fit for a professional player looking for a great horn on a tight budget.
