King Super 20 – Low Bb Baritone

This is a very sweet player, King H.N. White “Super 20” baritone saxophone in gold lacquer finish, serial number 379569. The Super 20 was received a restoration from our shop by tech Josh Creekmore in 2024. The professional overhaul included replacement of all the pads, corks, felts and resonators along with some necessary body work. Additionally, modifications were made to the neck receiver socket and a set of support bars were added to reinforce the neck. The saxophone is now in perfect playing condition and is an absolute monster. It has an impressive free blowing response with a lot of punch and plenty of edge.

Like a lot of the best pro baritones this one has seen plenty of past use and shows a history of past body repairs and a number of re-solder repairs. The saxophone was re-lacquered at some point in the past. Its current finish shows a healthy amount of play wear while showcasing clear engraving around the bell area. All of the original key work is intact. The rollers for the table keys were replaced during the overhaul.

This is a super crisp and free blowing saxophone. A great instrument if you are looking for a baritone with great projection and plenty of power. As with a lot of King baritones the pitch does take a bit more effort to control in the upper register. The baritone was restored last year in our shop and has been played on a good deal since then. As such we will go through the sax once more before shipping to ensure everything is perfect.

Ships out in perfect playing condition with the original King wood case. The case is in decent condition and is functioning properly. It would be advisable to upgrade in the near future if you are going to be using it and and about a good amount.
