This is a vintage hard rubber Gale 440 mouthpiece for the tenor sax. This piece shows only very light scuffing and surface scratching with no deep, lasting playing wear. Overall it looks very nice with a clean, original-like look to it. There are some marks on the table so it most likely has had at least the table flattened, but I see no evidence of work on the tip or rails, and the facing measures as original at .074”. Plays with a warm, dry, west-coast-ish sound.
