This is a mid-60's vintage professional model G Leblanc Paris grenadilla wood Eb alto clarinet, serial number 4527. This is a fantastic clarinet for advancing players looking to secure a pro series wood alto clarinet without breaking the bank. It will get a full, fresh overhaul from our repair shop before shipping, and come all cleaned up and ready to go.

The wonderful thing about choosing a vintage wood clarinet is that, if it hasn't cracked yet, chances are it never will. I see no previous cracks or repairs (pins) anywhere in either joint. The neckpiece and bell are also in good shape, with just minor dings in the bottom bow that we will address during our overhaul.

Our restoration will include full disassembly and cleaning of the keys as well as proper oiling of the wood. We'll replace all pads and material, and properly regulate the action for a good feel and response. Once complete, it will ship in perfect playing shape, with long lasting material that will hold up for a long time to come. All work to get the instrument perfect is included in the price.

Currently playing through some leaks, I still can see why so many players love these vintage Leblanc horns. This clarinet plays easily without much resistance, and has a deep and enveloping sound, while remaining just forgiving enough to allow for growth for advancing players. A solid instrument for students and pros alike.
