This is an old Early Babbitt era metal Otto Link Super Tone Master for the alto sax. This piece was originally stamped a 5* (large font) but was later refaced and opened to a modern 7 at .080”. The refacer etched somethings along the shank (see photos) but honestly I can't make out what that says and do not know who did the work (perhaps someone out there can help identify?). The mouthpiece plays well, with a traditionally warm Link sound, and the baffle of these Early Babbitts adds some edge and punch.
