Vintage C.G. Conn Transitional / 6M Naked Lady Alto Saxophone in Gold Lacquer, Serial 256518 – Repair Special
Conn Naked Lady Alto
This is a vintage C.G. Conn “Transitional” 6M alto saxophone from 1933, serial number 256518. 1933 was technically the last year of the Transitional horns before they officially became the 6M model. These saxophones are mostly known as the “Naked Lady” model for their engraving. This vintage of the Conn showcased key work with a trill G#, micro tuner neck, back door Eb and rolled tone holes.
At this time the horn is not playing and will not be ready for any serious amount of use until it is mechanically restored. The body of the sax is in good physical condition showing history of plenty of past use and some body and solder repair. All of the key work is intact as well as all of the key guards. This saxophone is also with the original Conn neck with double socket, under-slung octave key and micro tuner. The micro tuner is functional and still moves freely. This neck was pulled down at some point in the past.
Right now we have a large amount of vintage items. As we do not have enough time to repair all of them we are selling a large number of them in as is condition. If you know a good repair tech you can get into this horn at a lower price point.
