HELP, I Want One!

Silver Lacquer 12M
Here is a lovely vintage C.G. Conn 12M Naked Lady baritone sax in original silver plate, with a serial number of 340719. This saxophone is in great playing condition and features key work going down to low Bb up to palm F, and even features a front F mechanism for useful alternate fingerings. This saxophone is dated to 1951 so there are no remnants of the transition from the 'Chu Berry' model of the 1930s. The sonic character of this saxophone is best described as robust and warm while remaining free-blowing and responsive. Clarity and projection come hand in hand with these Conn 12M's.
The plating on this horn is original with a satin silver finish across the body and only on the bell engraving, which is still crisp as the day it was etched, you will find the beautiful gloss finish to back the logo and portrait. Physically this saxophone has seen a fair amount of use and shows history of repair, some joint and post re-solders are evident as well as one patch near the spit valve. The ease of play on this horn isn't affected by these repairs.
If you are looking to get a sweet playing Conn bari and do not mind a little existing character this sax is an ideal choice. This baritone was more recently overhauled in another shop. Its current set of leather pads and brown nylon resonators are in very good condition. We will test this baritone and give it a once over on the bench before shipping. This horn ships with an SLM contoured case for a baritone sax that goes down to low Bb along with a plush neck holder that is stored inside the bell securely.
