HELP, I Want One!

Buescher Big B Tenor - 1941
This is an early vintage Buescher Aristocrat Series II “Big B” tenor saxophone, serial number 296503. The horn is in excellent condition showing off original lacquer as well as the original gold plated springs, amber rollers and the original Buescher snap resonators. This tenor is a recent project horn from Saxquest tech Ben Reece. Ben took his time overhauling and setting this one up right. It is now playing up a storm with a brand new set of premium leather pads, new corks and new felts. Ben did use the original Buescher snap resonators during the overhaul.
The body of this saxophone is in very nice physical condition showing a normal amount of cosmetic character for a horn of its vintage. Its body tube, bow, bell and bell flare are all in excellent original condition. The bow cap and bell to body brace are both in great shape and does not show any signs of being pushed in or damaged in the past. This saxophone does include the original Bueschser tenor sax neck. The neck previously had a small pull down in the past but was professionally repaired back to its true position.
This Big B takes the air in very easy and plays with a smooth free blowing response. These saxophones are great for blues and rock bands but they are also a fine choice for straight ahead jazz and big band work. I found this particular horn to have a warm and very rich sound character. The big B is a great choice if you are looking for something you can put a ton of air through with out it backing up on you.
This saxophone ships out in perfect playing condition with a vintage wood hard case.
