Berg Larsen 100/2 SMS
This is a vintage hard rubber Berg Larsen mouthpiece for baritone saxophone with a 100/2 offset SMS facing. The piece is not the prettiest at this point but is physically in solid condition. This piece features a deep inner chamber and baffle with slanted side walls.
The profile of the piece shows typical cosmetic character for a vintage piece. It does look like someone probably did some touch up work on this piece at some point. There is some markings around the baffle area of the piece below the tip rail. (See pictures )
This piece was tested in our shop. It plays with a smooth response and has a warm clear projecting sound. The tip opening of the mouthpiece measures .099”.
