This is a very nice Yamaha 480 alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number U14007. The alto has received a healthy amount of play time by the last owner but is still in excellent condition. A great alto and ready for a new home. These 480 models are marketed in the intermediate or step up categories but are honestly on par with a lot pro models from other brands, both in construction and playability. They are similar to the 62 model with some differences. The construction of the 480 showcases single post construction with stainless steel springs.

This particular 480 is around 10 years old at this time and is playing nicely on mostly original pads. It is physically in great shape showing history of past use and 2 small dings located along the bow. The alto looks to have been decently serviced recently where it was regulated and adjusted while replacing just a few pads and some key materials. Because it is playing nicely at this time we are selling it in as is condition in order to keep the price at a premium.

This is a fantastic choice for the serious student or for anyone looking for a high quality saxophone at a low price point.
