This is a very pretty Theo Wanne Ambika 2 for tenor saxophone in an 8 facing. The piece is in great cosmetic condition around the outer body. Its facing profile of the table, tip and side rails is also very nice. Item does include the original ligature, reed slide, zip case and box.
The Ambika is one of the darker playing mouthpieces in the Wanne mouthpiece line. This is the second rendition of the Ambika model. This particular piece has a very clear response and great projection while maintaining a warm color. The inside of the mouthpiece showcases the “True Large Chamber” with a wide open throat and rounded inner side walls. Ideal for the player looking for a darker sound akin to the vintage New York Otto Link pieces.
The tip opening on this piece measures .110”.
