Un-lacquered Body and Gold Lacquered Keys
This is a very sweet Selmer Paris Super Action 80 Series II alto saxophone, serial number 582688. The alto previously belong to a pro in the Saint Louis area. They played it professionally and kept it nicely maintained over the years. There has also been a number of personal additions that were made. The high F# key was professionally removed along with the post work. The F# tone hole was covered with a coin from Chile. The lacquer was also removed from the body of the saxophone and was left on the keys. The neck to the saxophone was also custom silver plated with a brush silver finish. Its SII shield was also removed in order to lighten up the mass on the neck. A number of custom key risers were added to this saxophone to aid in easy key movement. If you would like these removed there is no additional cost, please just let us know.

If you have ever dreamed of having the control and consistency of a modern Selmer with a richer more free blowing response you will quickly fall in love with this alto. The raw brass finish allows the horn to breath more freely then the traditional lacquer. In addition to the raw brass finish the removal of the F# also has increased air flow efficiency. This sax takes the air in quick and easy and produces a rich medium warm color. The physical body of the saxophone is in outstanding condition. This saxophone shows a ultra clean body, bow, bow cap, bell and neck. Aside from the custom modifications there is no history of serious repair to this saxophone. The neck is also in fantastic condition.

This saxophone is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting a check up and cleaning. It ships out in perfect playing condition with a Selmer Paris case.
