This is a sweet 40's or early 50's vintage hard rubber Berg Larsen bari sax mouthpiece. Though the Berg name has nearly completely worn off with time, it is a true “Slant” Berg vintage, featuring the long body and table, and elongated shank. It is stamped a 100/3 with offset SMS, and measures true at .100”. The facing is original and in excellent shape. It also shows off the original denim pattern on the table. These older Bergs are really cool playing pieces. The bullet chamber is shallower than what you see later, producing a warmer sound, added to the rare /3 configuration on this mouthpiece.
