HELP, I Want One!

Conn 10M – Great Road Worthy Horn
This is a vintage Conn 10M “Naked Lady” tenor saxophone from 1946, serial number 316206. If you are looking for serious player that will not break the bank you can not go wrong with a 10M. This one in particular shows history of being a well played horn but it has it where it counts. It has an awesome and fat free blowing sound. The sound has a punchy quality to it and can be played exceptionally loud. If you are looking for a nice blues, R&B or rock saxophone this one would be perfect.
The tenor was re-lacquered a long time ago. It was done well as you can still see clearly the iconic Naked Lady engraving. The body tube, bell and bow area are all in very good condition. There is some history of a few small dings that have been taken out here and there but nothing serious. A previous owner did have the neck strap right lowered at some point. This was a move made for comfort and the horn now has a hanging position more familiar in comparison to modern saxophones. The saxophone does include the original neck. At some point there was an electronic pickup take out of the neck. It was removed and repaired the proper way with a flush plug. This saxophone is missing a portion of the original bell key guard/extension. ( see picture 8 )
The 10M is currently in the Saxquest shop being professionally set-up and regulated. We will also clean it up and take out the dings. This saxophone ships in perfect playing condition in a wood box hard case. If you are on the hunt for a serious player and do not mind some pre-existing character you are going to quickly fall in love with this 10M.
