HELP, I Want One!

System 76 in Raw Brass Finsih - No High F#
The P. Mauriat saxophones have quickly gained in popularity because of their excellent quality at fantastic prices. This is the System 76UL alto un-lacquered finish. The un-lacquered body of the horn allows for a free breathing organic sound character that is fairly warm in color. In comparison to the matte lacquer horns of the same model the UL is a little bit faster in response to air flow and resonates very freely.
This particular alto was used at a few trade shows in the past and while it was played a few times is still in new condition. Because it has been at the booth at a few shows we are able to now offer it at a drastically reduced price. It is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting a professional set-up and ships in perfect playing condition with its contoured hard case, manufactures warranty and Saxquest 1 year service warranty.
The System 76 is an instrument show casing an un-lacquered finish. This one in particular is in pristine condition. As it is an un-lacquered saxophone it has already stared to show some unique cosmetic character across the raw brass body. The sax shows a few cosmetic blemishes here and there but nothing serious. The body is in perfect condition as is the P Mauriat Super VI neck. What makes this instrument unique is it does not have a high F# key. This is typically a special order item.
We have spent a lot of time playing these instruments, and have come to the conclusion that you just can't get a better sax for the money. We played them side by side with many saxes in the shop, including vintage Mark VI's, and came away impressed with their projection, richness of sound, and overall character of tone. The System 76 has a slightly brighter sound, and a bit more focus in its core sound in comparison to the PMXA-67R.
