Absolutely mint condition Selmer Paris Super Action 80 Series II alto sax, serial number 410423. This soprano is an older model, dating to around 1988, but you'd never guess it by looking at the horn. It is in like-new condition, showing only some light surface/cosmetic scratching but no serious playing wear of note. It looks brand new, and will come with a fresh repad from our repair shop.

This soprano has obviously seen very little playing life in its life. There are no dents or dings, no real lacquer wear to speak of, even on the touch points. The bell flare/rim has never been bent and everything looks much as it did the day it came out of the factory. That goes for the pads too, which are all still factory original. Since the pads are 35+ years old, we'll be performing a fresh pro overhaul. With all new pads and material, you'll have assurance that the sax will come to its next owner in perfect playing shape and ready to go for a long time to come.

This soprano plays with a definitely darker/warmer sound, with solid intonation top to bottom. It takes your air comfortably with just the right amount of positive resistance to give you something to push against, without feeling stuffy or inhibiting. Great response. With a darker mouthpiece, this is a great classical horn, but it can rip too with matched with the proper setup. Excellent all-around instrument.
