HELP, I Want One!

Polished & Prepped for Overhaul

This is a vintage Buescher New Aristocrat alto sax, serial number 263438, in original silver plate. This alto has been cleaned and polished, prepped for an overhaul, but currently does not have any pads or material installed. With our repair shop backed up for months, we've decided to let this alto go as-is, so if you have a repair bench at home or a favorite tech to take it to, you can pick this one up for a bargain price.

This is an original silver “New Aristocrat,” a model made for just a couple years in the early '30s. It features split bell keys like the earlier True Tone models, but the Art Deco engraving of the Aristocrat. This example has been completely disassembled and cleaned, but still needs to be repadded. No key fitting has been done, so it needs everything. All of the keywork is free, nothing is frozen or stuck, and there are no major dents. Some springs are missing, as is one roller. The key cups still have the nubs for the original snaps, and there's a bag of Buescher snap-in metal resonators in the case, but a count hasn't been made to see if all are present. The original neck (stamped with 2 stars) is included and it too is in excellent physical shape.

The sax is being sold AS-IS, and ships in a hard plastic case.
