Early 70s vintage Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor sax in original lacquer, serial number 206165. This tenor is in stellar physical condition and features a recent overhaul by celebrated tech Mike Manning. It will get a fresh adjustment from our shop before shipping, and come to you ready to go for a long time to come.

The original lacquer on this tenor is in fantastic shape, showing only mild wear for its life of use. It features Euro style engraving on the bell and keywork to high F#. There's some minor past dent work in the bottom bow (done extremely well, with only light lacquer crazing as evidence of the work) and one resoldered joint on one foot of the low Eb keyguard. The original neck was slightly pulled down at some point, but again, the repair work is top notch and nearly impossible to spot unless you know what to look for. Manning's overhaul is 3 years old, performed with black roo pads and oversized copper metal resonators. He also added stabilizing double arms on the low bell key cups, as seen in the photos. The work is holding up great and all pads are in like-new condition, but to make sure it is perfect, the sax will get a fresh set up from our shop.

This tenor plays with a strong core and tighter focus, aiming your sound straight out from the horn. This gives you a powerful edge and I found projection to be fantastic. A classic workhorse kind of sax, great for gigging musicians who find themselves in a variety of settings.
