HELP, I Want One!

Includes Saxquest Overhaul
This is vintage Martin Magna tenor saxophone in original lacquer, serial #300286. The Magna was Martins top level professional instrument. Sonically they are very similar to The Martin Committee III. Also like the earlier Martin models they also feature beveled tone hole construction. Other features that were new to the Magna included additional rollers on the G# table and a silver cross on the lower center of the bell. These saxophones feature a quick and smooth intake of air and are quite free blowing. Projection and power are exceptional on the Magna.
This particular saxophone came into our shop on a mix match set of mostly older pads. As such the Martin is currently in the Saxquest shop awaiting a professional overhaul. The overhaul will include all new Valentino pads, metal resonators, new corks, felts and a very thorough key regulation. The body of this tenor is not the prettiest but it is in very solid physical condition. Its bow and bell are both in great shape. The bow cap is also very nice and has never been pushed in. There is some history of some light dent work in the past. The tenor has a few dings remaining on the sax which will be taken out in the Saxquest shop. The bell key guard is missing one of the original felt adjusters, we will replace this during the overhaul of the saxophone.
The original neck for this saxophone is included. It is in very nice condition and has never been pulled down. This neck also has the original adjustment mount for the octave key.
Rather you are an avid Martin fan or are just looking for a fantastic vintage tenor this Martin Magna will not disappoint. Tenor ships in perfect playing condition with a contoured case.
