This is a solid vintage Martin Imperial tenor saxophone in original lacquer, serial # 110687. This tenor is a great option for beginning saxophonists of any age, or for seasons pros looking for a backup for when your main is in the shop. It's a good player and priced to sell.

The original lacquer is in solid shape, with nominal wear from normal use. There are no signs of past trauma or repair and the sax is straight from top to bottom. One previous repair was done on the palm D key, which snapped and was silver soldered; the repair is great and will hold. The original neck shows more lacquer wear; it does have the matching serial number stamped in it. Pads are all in great shape, fitted with brown plastic resonators. It is sealing well, with just a couple minor leaks in the bottom that we're going to iron out before shipping.

This tenor plays with a dark, lush tone, offering good control to the player, and a quick, lively response. I found its spread tone to be very forgiving, which would be good for younger players, but it also is flexible enough for seasoned pros to be able to shape it as desired. Solid tenor for the price. It ships in its original hard case.
