This is a freshly overhauled Buescher Aristocrat “Big B” engraved series alto sax, serial number 322484. This alto is excellent original lacquer, and has just been repadded using Pisoni Pro pads while keeping the original resos and springs.

This alto shows only very mild lacquer wear for its age; as seen in the photos, it looks fantastic. There is no history of previous damage or repair, including no resolders. The original neck has never been pulled down. It has new pads and material throughout, fitted with the original snap-in metal resonators. It also has its original gold plated Norton springs and amber rollers.

This alto plays with a very sweet tone, definitely on the warmer side, but not overly dark and definitely not stuffy in any way. It is very responsive, and when you start pushing a lot of air through the horn, the resonance is felt throughout. A great little sax if you are looking for a ready-to-go instrument with a warmer sound.
