This is the new AS42 saxophone by Selmer USA. The AS42 was made as a collaboration between Selmer USA and Selmer Paris to provide the highly sought after Selmer sound and feel at a lower price point. The construction of the 42 features a Selmer Paris neck, high F# key, tear drop front F key and Pisoni pro pads. The saxophone includes a deluxe carrying case, Selmer mouthpiece and accessories.
With an awesome price point these saxophones are intended for the intermediate to entry professional levels. Saxquest has put these horns up against a number of the other brands pro models and have come away very impressed with 42's performance. The Selmer 42 plays with a strong and focused warm core sound and a very precise scale balance from top to bottom.
