This is a New York vintage metal Otto Link Master model mouthpiece for the tenor sax, serial number R86. This piece is stamped a # 4 and is all original, with tip measuring just .065”. Small by today's standards, that was the norm back when this model was in production. The facing is completely original and in fine shape. While the mouthpiece shows typical plating wear for its age, it still has much of its original gold plating intact. There's a light indentation in the original black bite plate, but no deep teeth grooves, and the tip and rails are in pristine shape. When matched with a harder reed, this piece plays with a definitely darker tone as compared to modern metal mouthpieces.
