HELP, I Want One!

This is a great opportunity to pick up a vintage American made bari sax at a low price. This is a vintage Buescher bari, serial number 233560. If you don't care about cosmetics and just want a playing bari that will get the job done, this is the one for you.

This horn started out life as a late vintage True Tone (1927 vintage). However, the previous owner discovered the horn after it been through some trauma, and decided to restore it himself. He removed the big dents, located some new keys to replace ones that were missing, and painstakingly rebuilt the sax. It's a bit of a “Franken-horn” now, but the sax is intact and actually plays well down to low Bb. It has newer pads (brown plastic resonators) and while the action isn't the best, it is certainly manageable.

Sonically, this bari plays with a definite warmer sound and is quite beefy in the middle and lower registers. Has that famous spread sound that you can really only find on a vintage Buescher or Conn. It's tough to find any good playing bari sax for under $3000, much less one with all new pads. This is a great bargain for students or pros alike. Ships in a like-new Protec shaped case. Shipping is expensive due to the size of the box needed to ship safely, but local pick up at our store in St Louis is free.
