HELP, I Want One!

German Made – Keilwerth
Here we have an older King Tempo low A baritone saxophone made by Julius Keilwerth in Germany. These saxophones are a natural go to choice if you are looking for a quality low A baritone at a bargain price. The King Tempo has modern key work from low A to high F. These saxophones also feature a unique table key mechanism for the low A in the left hand pinky cluster. This is in addition to the low A key below the thumb rest.
The lacquer finish is original on this saxophone showing a healthy amount of past play time. The pictures tell the story of this saxophone the best. The body is in solid condition overall but does show some history of mild dent work and solder repairs, some dings still remain. Its bell flare is in very good condition and was never damaged in the past. At some point a previous owner had the thumb rest repositioned on this saxophone. (picture 21)
This saxophone came into our shop playing on some very old pads and metal resonators. It is currently playing up a storm on these older pads. But due to their age and the long period it has been since this saxophone has been serviced this saxophone will ultimately need to be complete overhauled before it will be in perfect playing condition. Because of the long line in our shop we are currently offering this saxophone in as is condition at a discounted price. If would like to add an overhaul to the purchase please make the selection on the drop down menu. A saxquest overhaul would include a complete dissemble, cleaning, key fitting, replacement of all pads, corks and felts. Once complete the saxophone would be in perfect playing condition.
Saxophone ships with original wood case and original neck. If you have any questions about this saxophone please send us a product question or contact us direct at zac@saxquest.com
