HELP, I Want One!

Early 50s vintage Conn 10M NAKED LADY engraved tenor sax, serial number 350199. This post-World War II tenor is a great horn for the player who likes the classic Conn sound, but can't quite foot the higher bill of the pre-war models.

This tenor was relacquered awhile back, but as you can see in the photos, you won't find a nicer job. The engraving is crisp with no loss of detail. The sax was obviously chemically stripped, with no metal removed from the body in buffing. It's about as good a job as I've ever seen, and makes the horn pop. The horn is straight from top to bottom, with no signs of prior damages or repair. The neck is original to the horn, and has never been pulled down or damaged.

This tenor is sitting is a set of leather pads with flat metal resonators, which mimic the sight of the old Conn resopads. They are in good shape, with lots of life in them. The sax will get checked over in our repair shop before shipping, where we'll make sure the pads are sealing properly and the sax has good material throughout.

This is a quality Conn for the budget conscious player. It plays smoothly and effortlessly without a lot of back pressure, and responds quickly to your airstream. It has that classic spread that you only find on the vintage American made instruments. A great old classic with lots of life to offer a new owner.
