This is a very straight, silver plated Martin Committee III tenor sax, serial number 178177. The horn is in stellar shape and is priced aggressively to sell fast. It has good pads, and will get a fresh pro set up from our repair shop before heading out.

This tenor looks great all around. The silver plating is 95% intact with only minor wear on a few touch points. The body and bell are straight and the horn has obviously never been beat around. There are a couple little resolders on the low C and Eb keyguards, as well as the body side post of the low B/Bb guard, but all done very well, and with the horn being silver, the resolders are hard to spot unless you know what you are looking for. No major past dents or dent repair, and the original neck (with matching serial) has never been pulled down.

Like a lot of horns, pads have been replaced as needed over the years. As such, there's a mismatch of pads currently, but all are still in great shape. During our pro set up, we'll replace any pads that are starting to age, as well as all key material. We'll adjust the spring tensions and key heights throughout and bring the sax back to factory specs.

If you want a big, bold sound, you can't go wrong with a good Martin. This sax plays even from top to bottom and its tone oozes warmth and color. A very dynamic horn that offers up a lot of versatility to the player. Ships in a strong hard case.
