This is a gorgeous condition Yanagisawa 880 series alto saxophone, serial number 00151405. This is a one-owner horn, and it has been kept in tremendous original condition with minimal wear to show for its age, and it comes with an upgraded sterling silver Yanagisawa W3 neck. Shipping with a fresh overhaul, this alto will come to you ready to go for a long time to come.

As you can see in the photos, this horn has been treated with kid gloves and is beautiful. The original lacquer stands 95%+ intact with only very minor wear on a couple touch points. There are absolutely no dents or dings and no previous repairs, including no resolders. The bottom bow and bell flare are perfect. The original owner upgraded the neck to a current production W3 sterling silver model, with underslung octave key, and the new neck adds warmth and color to an already incredible playing alto.

Pads have been replaced as needed over the years, but the sax still had some original pads when the horn came to us, as well as some older material. We're going to give the sax a full, complete overhaul, replacing all pads and key adjustment corks/felts, using original style brown nylon resonators. The sax will be cleaned inside and out, and given a fresh regulation, bringing key heights and spring tensions back to factory specs.

This is a world class alto, without spending world class money. It plays with a warm and focused sound, and takes your very quickly with almost no resistance. The silver neck brings a whole new dynamic that is hard to beat. A great sax for advancing students and pro players alike. Ships in its original wood case.
