HELP, I Want One!

Tremendous Mark VI – Fully Overhauled
This is a stunning original lacquer Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor sax from 1956, serial number 64552. Opening the case is like peering back in time. This early “5 digit” tenor is absolutely beautiful with 96% original lacquer. It has likely spent most of its life in the case. The tenor was overhauled in our shop last year and has only been played a few times since. We will look through the horn once more before shipping to ensure it leaves our store in perfect playing condition.

The pictures don't do this horn justice; it is an incredible instrument. The original lacquer shows only MINOR wear, mostly on the usual touch points, bell flare and keyguards, with some minor wear around the engraving from cosmetic acid bleed, as seen in the photos. The horn has never had a dent in it! No dents or re-solders, almost unheard of for a vintage Selmer. The original neck (with matching serial number) shows some lacquer wear, but it has never been pulled down or damaged. The factory blue paint is still all intact around the “S” of the octave key.

This tenor was mechanically restored last year in our shop. After the careful cleaning on the sax it received a precise key fitting before it was set-up with new Valentino premium pro pads and utilization of the original seamless metal dome resonators. All of the key materials have also been replaced. This saxophone is now in perfect playing condition.

This tenor is the real deal. It comes complete with the original Selmer wood hard case with working latches. The interior is still plush! Ships out in perfect playing condition with a recent overhaul from our shop.
