Very nice condition Selmer Paris Series III alto sax, serial number 700477. This sax has been well used but well cared for, and will get a fresh adjustment from our repair shop before shipping. We'll go through it and make sure everything is in perfect order for its new owner.

The original lacquer on this alto is solid, in the 90-95% range. There is wear mostly around the touch points and a bare spot on the tube near the thumbrest, as seen in the photos. There's currently 2 very shallow dings, one on the bell and other on the bottom bow, which we will remove during our setup. The neck has never been damaged and is in excellent shape. Our pro set up, included in the price, includes full disassembly and cleaning, all new material, and cleaning and reseating of pads. It will all be tip-top when you receive it, ready to go for a long time to come.

The Series III has remained a popular horn for advancing students and professional players alike. It plays with a strong core sound, good warmth and color, and sublime intonation top to bottom. Its tone blends extremely well, lending itself perfectly to the concert band setting, but paired with the right jazz mouthpiece, it can really scream too. A great horn for a great price, it ships in its original Selmer Paris Light series case.
