Free Blowing Early Super 20
This is an original lacquer vintage King H.N. White Super 20 tenor saxophone, serial number 290329.
The Super 20 tenor has a huge sound with exceptional projection and power. This one in particular seems to be a much warmer player then many of the Super 20's we have had in our shop this year. If you love the powerful and punchy Super 20 sound but want a little more warmth and roundness this tenor is going to be irresistible.

These early Super 20's were made with a full complement of pearl inlays on the palm, side and G# keys. They also have the King “sunburst” engraving on all of the bell keys including the C and C# key cups. The later model Super 20's also stopped including the triple neck strap ring, which is on this tenor. This tenor does include the original sterling silver double socket neck with matching serial number stamp.

The original lacquer on the tenor is in excellent condition showing off the proper dark color with a modest amount of play wear. This tenor does have a healthy amount of cosmetic character about it but does not have any serious history of repair and no re-solders. The body tube, bow, bell and bow cap are all in excellent condition. Its bow cap has never been pushed in and all of the key guards are in great shape as well. The original sterling silver double socket neck with under slung octave key is with the horn and is in nice physical condition. It has never been pulled down.

This tenor was last overhauled by Saxquest in 2013, we will also go through it and put a fresh set-up on it to ensure it is in perfect playing condition before shipping it out. Its professional set-up features a premium set of leather pads and metal TM custom resonators.

If you are looking for a tenor that plays with a lot of authority and character you will not want to pass this tenor up. It ships in perfect playing condition in a vintage King wood hard case.
