Early Vintage Buescher HR for Soprano
This is a vintage Buescher hard rubber mouthpiece for Bb soprano sax from the 1920's. The outer body and shank are in decent condition showing some cosmetic wear. It looks like someone has worked on the facing in the past. (see pictures)
As it currently sits it gives a good seal to the reed and plays decently. But due to the age, small tip and big chamber of the mouthpiece this might be most ideal for a collector of 1920's instruments. They typically do not work well on modern sopranos because of their narrow inner shank size. We will usually sell these for around 125.00, because the facing on this piece is a little on the rough side we are selling it at a reduced price.
The tip opening on this piece measures .037”.
