Great original lacquer C.G. Conn 6M “Naked Lady” engraved alto sax. This is a very early series 6M, serial number 267104. It has all of the best features of this model, before Conn started phasing things out. It has rolled tone holes, swivel thumbrest, trill G#, and the neck has the double socket receiver, underslung octave key, and microtuner mechanism.

This sax has obviously been played, but never abused. The original lacquer is a solid 75-80% intact; it has specklish wear throughout but that's about it. There are a smattering of tiny pencil-point pings in the bottom bow, but no serious past trauma ever. The original neck has never been pulled down.

This alto has recently been adjusted on existing pads, which are soft with years of life still left in them; all are fitted with flat metal resonators. The rolled tone holes do not appear to have ever been filed on and are in excellent condition.

This Conn plays just how you expect and desire from a quality early vintage 6M: it has a very lively and fast response, with less back pressure, and is overall very free blowing. It plays with what I consider the quintessential classic American sax sound.
