This is a very nice Carlsbad vintage Brilhart Tonalin mouthpiece for the alto sax, serial number 122969. This piece is stamped a 2* and measures .070”, comparable to a modern # 5. The facing is all original and in very good shape, with no nicks or dings in the tip or rails. There’s a minor tooth indent in the original black bite plate, which is currently protected by a mouthpiece patch. The only other wear of note is some minor ligature scratching around its body. The factory black stamping is in pristine shape with little fading.
