This is a superb condition P Mauriat System 76 3^rd Edition “Dragon” series alto sax. This horn, made in collaboration with saxophonist Greg Osby, was produced in limited numbers, and this one is # 65 out of the 100 made. It features a unique look and is a killer player too.

This alto is in tremendous shape, with no major playing wear of note. There's a little tarnish here or there, but no dents, dings, no past damages or repairs, and no deep scratches or lacquer wear. It features a cognac lacquered body and keys with silver plated bell and neck, and extensive hand engraving all over the place. It is a stunner to see in person. When we received the sax, it still had its factory set up on it, so to make sure it comes to its next owner in tip-top playing shape, it will go through our repair shop for our full pro set up. We'll replace all factory material with better stuff, clean and reseat pads, and adjust key heights and spring tensions throughout.

This P Mauriat plays with a strong, full voice, and takes your air well with just a bit of positive resistance to push against. Really big sound, from the bell keys up into the altissimo. Definitely a lot of edge that hits hard. Ships in a cool aftermarket case, as seen in the photos.
