HELP, I Want One!

This is an absolutely gorgeous, all original lacquer Selmer Paris Mark VI tenor sax in classic American engraving, serial number 210048. This vintage Mark VI has not seen much playing in its life, and is as pretty of an example as you'll see. Pads are all in good shape, and the sax will get a fresh pro set up from our shop before shipping.

The photos tell the tale on this horn, it really is quite remarkable in its physical condition. The original lacquer is 98%+ intact. There's some minor scratching on the back side of the tube, but no serious lacquer of note of anywhere. 2 very tiny, pencil-point pings in the bell flare, but no other damages or previous repairs to the sax body. This includes no resolders, and no previous dent work in the bottom bow, tube, or bell. The original neck unfortunately does have a previous pull-down, but it has been professionally corrected and has the right curve on it now.

Pads are all in excellent shape, with years of life left in them. Even so, we will go through the horn carefully before shipping, and make sure everything is sealing properly. We'll clean the horn up inside and out, and replace any material not up to our standards.

This Mark VI plays with a slightly brighter sound than the early vintage models, but retains a warm, solid core and good focus. It takes your air well and have a lively, fast response. Great punch and a clean edge that cuts. If you've been on the hunt for a sterling example of a vintage Mark VI, you can't go wrong with this beauty. And check out that case! Even the original case looks incredible.
