HELP, I Want One!

This is a great deal on a really cool, mid-60s vintage Conn 12M bari sax, serial number H20982. This is a fantastic deal for any player looking for a bari on the cheap. It is in excellent original lacquer, has been professionally played and maintained, and shows no history of serious past trauma or repair.

The original lacquer on this bari is in very good shape, as seen in the photos. It has surface scratches and mild wear to the touch points from normal use, but that's about it. The sax does have a few cosmetic dings here and there, and while the horn has been played, it was obviously never abused. There was a minor bend in the bell flare when we received it, but we'll take that out before shipping. The original neck also once had a very slight pull-down, but it has been corrected. In order to keep the price down, we will not be going after the little dings and dimples in the bottom bow and tube, but they do not affect play.

This bari came to us in good pads, fitted with brown plastic resonators, but it had been some time since the horn had been professionally set up. We're going to do a full disassembly and cleaning, inside and out. We'll replace all of the key adjustment corks and felts, and any pads that are starting to show some age. The sax will be precisely adjusted top to bottom, and ship in perfect playing shape.

This 12M plays with a big, beefy sound, great response in the bottom end, and it stays fat up into the palm keys. You can easily spend this much (or more!) on a bari that needs a lot of work, but this one will ship ready to go. Comes in a vintage hard case in good condition.
