1946 vintage C.G. Conn 12M “Naked Lady” engraved bari sax, serial number 314352. Made just before Conn stopped offering rolled tone holes on their horns, this is a highly desired model for players. This particular example has been around the block, and is in current need a full restoration. With our repair shop backed up for months, we are offering it “as is” at a much reduced price.

This is not an overhaul for the faint of heart. As you can see in the photos, in addition to needing pads, it has a lot of needed dent work, easily 10+ hours for that alone, depending on how far you wanted to chase it. The neck too will need some work. The horn was relacquered long ago, and in that process, several of the tone holes were filed on, completely through the rolled parts in some of the tone holes in the upper part of the tube. The keywork is intact though, with nothing broken or missing, except for just one keyguard (low C#).

If you have the patience and time to get this bari properly restored, you'll up way ahead of the game, with a solid American made jazz bari made in an era when companies really cared about quality. Cool horn for players seeking the Gerry Mulligan vibe. Does ship in a hard case.
