HELP, I Want One!

This is a 1925 vintage Buescher True Tone tenor sax in Bb, serial number 186446. This tenor is a fine example of an old mid-20s vintage American made saxophone. It features keywork to high F with front F. It has been used and played over its nearly 100 year-old-life, but still has plenty to offer a new owner.

This tenor was relacquered long ago, but done decently. Just about all of the lower body and bottom bow keyguards have been resoldered, but amazingly I don't see signs of past dent work or anything down there, so I don't know why the guards would have come off. The bottom bow and bell flare are straight. The original neck has never been pulled down, but the octave key itself broke at some point and has been silver soldered back together. The repair is strong and will hold.

Pads have been replaced as needed over the years, so the sax has a mismatch of leather pads currently, but all appear to be in good shape. The sax is currently playing through some leaks and will need a good regulation in order to be in tip-top playing shape. We are selling it as-is.

It's hard to argue with a sub-$500 tenor that is playing. This horn ships in a good hard case.
