This is a great King Super 20 alto saxophone in gold lacquer, serial number #484988. This particular saxophone dates to the King Eastlake period after the move from Cleveland.
Physically the saxophone is in very good condition overall. It does look like it was re-lacquered at the factory. Its current lacquer finish is very clean across the body. There is no history of any major dent work or major re-solder work. The bow, body tube, bow cap and bell areas are all in very nice original condition. It does also have the original neck with under slung octave key.
The later Super 20's like this one are especially bright and punchy players. These are great for situations when a bright sound with lots of projection is most desired. This particular alto came into our shop playing through some leaks on mostly older pads. As it has been some time since the saxophone was serviced this saxophone is going to need a little over half of a re-pad and some set-up before it is in perfect playing condition. But if you are on a budget you might be able to get by with less.
Because our shops set-up time is running on the long side these days we are offering this sax in as is condition at a reduced price. It does include the original King wood hard case.
