Couf Superba I – Rolled Tone Holes – Made in Germany
This is a nice vintage H.Couf Superba I alto saxophone in origianl gold lacquer, serial number 81991. The Superb I alto was made in Germany by the Julius Keilwerth. It showcases comfortable key work and key pearls, rolled tone holes and a bore that is slightly larger in comparison to most modern altos today. These saxophones can take in a ton of air and put out a huge sound when desired. Projection is exceptional on this instrument. Sonically, this alto plays with a full, powerful voice, as you'd expect from a Keilwerth-made instrument.
The body of the alto is in excellent condition showing some history of playing. The body tube, bow, bell and original neck are all in great condition.
