Vintage Buescher Aristocrat BIG B Alto Sax at a Great Price - Serial # 328686

This is a cool old vintage Buescher Aristocrat “Big B” engraved alto sax, serial number 328686. This alto was relacquered long ago, but still retains all of its original hardware. We are selling it as-is, playing on decent pads, at a super low price.

The relacquering on this alto was done very well with only light buffing, and the factory engraving on the bell is still clearly visible. Pads are a few years old, but still have lots of life in them. There are some leaks, but you can make it work, and if you have your local tech swap out a few pads, it'll play a lot better. They are fitted in there with all of the original Buescher snap-in metal resonators, and the sax has its original gold plated Norton springs as well. The neck is original to the horn, and shows mild previous repair.

This alto plays with a quick attack and while it is blowing through some minor leaks currently, it still has a good response. Definitely a warmer sounding horn, and it takes your air well. A few Saxquest employees are big Buescher fans, and it's easy to see why when you play one of these old beauties. Ships in its original hard case.
