Product ID: 195363MartinTenor
Freshly restored Martin Committee III “The Martin Tenor” sax, serial number 195363. This original lacquer Martin looks nice with 85-90% original lacquer intact. It was just overhauled in our shop by Josh Creekmore, and ships with all new pads and a precise key regulation.
As you can see in the photos, the original lacquer shows mostly excellent coverage throughout, with some funky wear in between the keys on the body tube. There was one minor ding in the bottom bow which was removed, but no other previous damages or repairs. The only playing wear is some light scratching here and there. The original neck (matching serial number) is in flawless physical condition and has only minor lacquer wear. The horn doesn't appear to have been played too hard over its life, and probably spent most of the time ferreted away in its case.
Saxquest tech Josh Creekmore padded this tenor with Valentino Pro pads and pointed brown nylon resonators. It has all new key adjustment corks and felts, and the action has been properly regulated. The keywork is smooth, effortless, and quiet under your hands. Sonically, this tenor plays with a definite warmer color, with a slightly spread sound and and good control. It takes your air quickly with less resistance than you'd find on a modern Selmer. Really big middle and bottom registers. This is a great tenor for the price! Ships in its original case with original metal end plug as pictured.
