This is an absolutely mint condition Selmer Paris Mark VI bari sax in original silver plate, serial number 143515. The serial number dates this sax to 1967, but it looks closer to a year old instead of 50. It has been freshly repadded and is in stellar shape.
The photos tell the tale on this beauty. The original silver shows no real finish wear even on the touch points. There is minor cosmetic surface scratching as to be expected, but that is it. There are no dents, no dents, no previous repairs of any kind. Everything is perfect. This sax was just repadded using black roo pads and brown plastic resonators, and is sealing up like a drum, playing with a whisper down to low A.
The great news on this bari is it plays as nice as it looks. It has a big, powerful sound and easy response. The silver adds color and depth to its tone, freeing up new avenues you can go down in exploring all this horn can do. It is versatile enough to play jazz, rock, funk, and even classical with the right mouthpiece. It does it all, and does it all effortlessly. A tremendous bari sax for the discerning professional who wants only the best.
