Vintage Selmer Paris Mark VII Alto in Original Lacquer, Serial #270819
Vintage Mark VII Alto
This is a 1970's vintage Selmer Paris Mark VII alto saxophone, serial number 270819. The Mark VII is a great player with a warm and centered sound. It is free blowing in comparison to the modern Selmer but is noticeably more centered then its predecessor the Mark VI.
This Mark VII has seen plenty of play in the past but is in solid physical condition. The body tube and bell are both in good condition. There is a few re-solders to the key guard feet of low Eb and C bell keys. The bell to body brace band is also currently being repaired in the Saxquest shop. Its original neck is included in good condition, it has not been pulled down. This alto came into our shop on the original pads so we are currently in the process of giving the instrument a total overhaul. The process will include a complete dissemble, cleaning and key fitting. It will also feature a new set of leather Valentino pads, brown plastic resonators, new corks, felts. The alto ships in perfect playing condition in the original Selmer wood hard case.
If you are looking for the sound and feel of a great vintage Selmer alto but do not want to spend Mark VI money this Mark VII is a perfect choice.
