Vintage New York USA Meyer Alto– Perfected by Erik Greiffenhagen .076”
Professional Shank Ring Repair
This is a vintage New York USA Meyer hard rubber mouthpiece for alto sax. It was originally stamped a 4M on the table but was recently worked on by master mouthpiece guru Erik Greiffenhagen. It looks like Erik also added a shank ring in order to properly fix a crack. Aside from the shank repair the body of the mouthpiece is in great shape. The beak is pristine. Its profile of the table, tip and rails are very crisp thanks to the re-facing work. This mouthpiece now measures .076”.
The mouthpiece plays with a fast response and a bright sound which makes it great for lead work. If you are looking to save some money on a vintage Meyer this is a great way to do it.
