This is a vintage Master by Gregory Hollywood 4 18 hard rubber mouthpiece for tenor sax, serial number 1865. The body of the mouthpiece shows some typical cosmetic character but is physically in very good condition. The shank, beak and main body are in great shape as well as the facing profile. Its table looks extremely pristine as do the side rails. The tip rail is in very good condition showing a small wear spot beyond the outer tip rail on one side.
These mouthpieces play with a dark focused core sound while maintaining remarkable clarity. They are constructed with a medium open chamber, rounded inner side walls with just the slightest roll towards the end of the baffle below the tip. If you are looking to add a darker resonance to your sound with out sacrificing definition these pieces are a great way to go.
