This is a vintage Lucerne Paris tenor sax made by Dolnet, serial number 82293. The Lucerne is easily one of the most unique and interesting saxophones we have had in the shop in a long time. It showcases all of the trade mark Dolnet key work and key guards. What makes it really special is its sharply offset key work and bell angle.
This particular Lucerne is in incredible condition and was kept as a closet piece by the previous owner. The only mentionable spot of wear is some acid bleed located near the F tone hole and a side key post. Acid bleed occurs when moisture under the lacquer leaches to the surface over time, usually occurs near joints and posts. Its original lacquer is in tremendous condition as well as the crisp engraving. The saxophone also includes the original neck in fantastic shape. This tenor also showcases all of the original pads and metal resonators. It is currently playing down to a low Bb but if would ultimately need to be overhauled if you were going to be do a lot of serious playing on it. Because the sax is in incredible original condition we are selling it in as is condition on the original pads.
Talk about a truly unique saxophone and in pristine condition! If you are a player or collector looking for something highly unique and fun you will not want to miss out on this Luccerne Dolnet tenor.
