This is an all original, very clean vintage Selmer Soloist mouthpiece for the tenor sax. This piece is a short shank model, famous as being the piece that came with the first Mark VI's. It is in excellent shape, in the original D facing, nice if you are looking for something more open than the traditional C*. The piece shows only light surface wear, scuffs and the like. Tip, rails, beak, and table all look fantastic. These early Soloists have a little more baffle than the ones that came later, and while it still has a warm sound, it does play with a little more edge.
